Lionel made a career change to IG Wealth Management in August of 2015. He quickly found a passion for financial services and has expanded his knowledge, obtaining both his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® and Chartered Life Underwriter designations.
His professional attributes bode well to serving business owners and retirees best. Utilizing his skills and knowledge in corporate tax and corporate structure, Lionel has become very well versed in identifying strategies in protecting and planning for success of clients as they grow and exit their businesses. He has significant skill in identifying financial risks to client businesses and personal situations, and creating sound and robust risk management strategies.
Being well versed in IG's sophisticated planning software enables Lionel to create optimal strategies for clients to maximize their financial potential.
Making the most of his time when not working on financial plans, Lionel is busy with his family of five. He has been married to his wife Mia since August 2014 and has three amazing kiddos, Wren, Anson and Lena. Wren loves art and crafts, Anson can’t wait to get out at the dirt jumps on his bike and Lena is their 3rd wild child!
Their favorite places to get away to are Hawaii in the winter and Fernie in the summer. If they are not out of town Lionel can be found riding the Peloton or heading to the gym, hitting the dirt jumps with Anson or planning his next dinner with friends because he loves to cook. Family bike rides to the park are common with his active kids.
Lionel has also become an avid reader—he loves business, motivational and self-improvement books best. With a real DIY propensity Lionel is also building a 1972 Buick Skylark to be a daily driver during the day and pro-touring race car at the track. Did you say coffee?! Cause he loves coffee!
